Background
My earliest memories of healthcare go back to my childhood when my family used homeopathy, osteopathy and naturopathy alongside more conventional medicine – both for the humans and the animals!
The potential for good health is greatly enhanced by harnessing all the knowledge and skills available to us; in the last fifty years there has been a shift towards using complementary therapies by consumers, I am keen to promote a respectful attitude towards both complementary and conventional medicine. Our brightest future is an integrated one.
I trained with the Tisserand Institute and since then have explored many aspects of aromatherapy, massage, reflexology and other touch therapies both through post graduate study and personal use. I believe any living organism responds positively to an opportunity to heal and in my experience the best results are obtained by keeping it simple but not formulaic. I enjoy tailoring each therapy session to your needs as they present on the day of treatment – often recommending mixing and matching different disciplines, sometimes within the same session.
Since the autumn of 2006 I have been lucky enough to work in a purpose built treatment room (pictured) at my home. It is lovely and tranquil, gently luxurious too, with warm towels and a heated couch…
…freed from the constraints of traditional treatment times and clinic open hours I can often work at times more suited to you, such as evenings and some weekends, and best of all you need never be rushed after your session as I keep the bookings well spaced.
